The Southern Cross Tourers Branch located in Frankston was established in November 2016 and since its formation has continued to grow steadily.
Frankston is an outer suburb of Melbourne and is located 54 km south east of the city area. Frankston is often referred to as "the gateway to the Mornington Peninsula". Situated on the eastern shoreline of Port Phillip, Frankston has been a popular seaside destination of Melbourne since the 1880s. Frankston Beach is still one of the most frequented in Victoria, and is recognised as one of the cleanest in Australia. Frankston is also home to one of the largest exhibitions of sand sculpting in the Southern Hemisphere.
Frankston provides easy access to the South Gippsland area which offers some of Victoria's best motorcycle rides and scenery available.
Southern Cross Tourers Branch supports the Ulysses Club Inc. mottos by:
providing a ways in which older motorcyclists can get together for companionship and mutual support;
showing by example that motorcycling can be an enjoyable and practical activity for riders of all ages; and
drawing the attention of public and private institutions to the needs and views of older riders.
